Pevors Farm Cottages is a family business, now run by John with the help of his daughter Sophie and son David. For many years John and Margaret enjoyed naturist holidays and sunbathing in their secluded garden on the farm.
In 2002 they decided to convert some traditional farm buildings into four naturist holiday cottages and an indoor heated swimming pool.
These are set around two south-facing sunbathing patios. Guests are able to enjoy walks around our meadows and explore our bluebell woodland, which is a haven of tranquillity. There are lots of places for secluded sunbathing, walking and picnics, as well as fishing and enjoying the wildlife.
Each year we have added to the complex, so that now we have one more cottage, The Forge, and two new apartments in our restored Essex Barn, The Hayloft and The Cornloft.
In 2012 we added a first floor ‘Gallery’ in our Essex Barn, which can be used for carpet bowls, table tennis and get-togethers, and also has Wi-Fi.
We have a large sunroom, covered barbecue room, hot tub and many new footpaths, as well as two more sunbathing patios.
John has retired from farming to spend more time with our guests. Although we rent our arable land to our neighbour, we still have acres of meadow and woodland with mown naturist footpaths for our guests to explore and enjoy, as they discover the ponds lakes and picnic sites.
We have won awards from BN and Charlie Simonds as well as self-catering awards from Essex Tourism and East of England Tourism.
We have made so many new friends from all over Britain and abroad, and have been particularly delighted to encourage many newcomers to try their first naturist holiday here. They have found Pevors the ideal place to relax and enjoy naturism for the first time.
